Managing Director & Treat-a-holic
Carolyn Andrew joined the London QuirkStation in June 2010, bringing both international & local experience to the teams. Growing up, she idolised the ever-nimble, ever-smart MacGyver and the courageous, caring Gummi Bears whilst dreaming of one day being the owner of a stationery shop (ooh!- colourful papers, pens, paints). Carri soon moved up the ranks and aquired the title of Managing Partner.
Carri completed her schooling in the Eastern Cape and headed to the Mother City where she received her degree in Business Science with Marketing Honours at UCT. Her curiosity of people’s behaviours and attitudes made advertising a perfect partner in her chosen industry.
Before joining Quirk, Carri gained extensive experience working in integrated brand advertising. She spent 6 years at Ogilvy JHB getting involved with some fantastic brands - anybody up for a Coke (Brrr) or Fanta whilst watching DStv? In 2008, she moved to the UK and before starting at Quirk, worked at Lowe for 2 years on the global Unilever account.
Along with a “can do” optimistic mindset and industry experience, Carri brings her passionate cuppa tea-making skills to the QuirkStation. She can’t live without Internet banking and her ideal day would include beach time with family/ friends, spa treatments or exploring an interesting travel destination. The day would end off with a G’nT followed by tasty sweet treats - her one true guilty pleasure (yummy closure)! She loves browsing and buying (and yes, in London cupboard space is a problem,) but can’t stand coriander and people who are fickle - amen sister!
