Sue Cilliers

Traffic Goddess & Janis Joplin Die-Hard

Sue Cilliers is not her real name. She is really Suzette Schmidt Cilliers. However, her threat that referring to her as such will result in grievous bodily harm is not an empty one - the QuirkStar who put this to the test asked not to be named. Suffice to say he no longer works here and will be collecting his disability grant from the local welfare office. So, for the record, just plain 'Sue' is a good way to go.

Unfortunately for us, she claims that her worst personality trait is her temper, although she promises that it is latent and generally reserved for rude drivers. But naughty QuirkStars be warned - this goddess is all about timelines, deadlines and production lines so don't mess with her schedule!

Luckily for us, she balances her latent rage with her sparkling sense of humour, spirituality and naturally fun-loving nature - anyone who claims tequila is a food group definitely knows how to have a good time. Seeing as Sue regards the aforementioned cactus nectar as integral to a balanced diet, we might have to get Chris to throw in a bottle or two with our Friday drinks order. And, no Grant, you can't have any with your lunch.

It took her a while to get to the QuirkStation but only because her career path has been so interesting and diverse. Sue's more interesting jobs titles have included Public Relations Specialist, Journalist and, of course, Traffic Manager. This combined with her 12 years experience in land based casinos in Tanzania and Malawi sealed the deal when Quirk was scouting for the perfect Traffic Goddess.

Sue wanted to be a lawyer until she thought better of it. Bringing what she described as 'lunacy' to the Quirk dynamic, we think she's better suited to being a QuirkStar. Other interesting facts about Sue include her love for expensive perfume and reality TV (do not interrupt her and Manners while they have their post Survivor morning ciggy), her resounding affection for Janis Joplin and her unusual nickname; Luku which is, according to Sue, the Swahili version of Eskom. We're hoping she won't live up to that name. She has two cats, Masai and Seven who she adores and loves leisurely breakfasts overlooking the "sea.
