Account Executive & Orlando Pirates Fan
The teacher became the student when Siya joined our Graduate Programme in December 2010. This Jack Parrow music fan bravely took on Actuarial Science at UCT, before his Internet addiction and love of technology led him to study Information Systems instead. Siya then spent a year teaching at the Leap Science and Maths School before we snapped him up. He spent time as a Junior Web Analyst in the hardcore Optimise team and 2012 saw him become a proud father and a Rising Star finalist. Siya also deciced to make the move to to our Client Service team where he's currently an Account Executive.
Siya is a die-hard Orlando Pirates fan, going as far as adopting the team’s black and white as his favourite colours. As a result of growing up with three sisters, he makes an effort to spend as little time with women as possible (his gorgeous wife being the lucky exception) and his ideal day off involves watching soccer with friends and movies. Siya, or Komasi to some, also loves local TV soapie show, Generations and is not the biggest fan of snakes.
Despite being all smiles and full of jokes, he has some serious aspirations when it comes to making a mark on the digital landscape, as well as the physical one - wishing to do away with environmental degradation. Siyamkela brings creativity, innovation and soccer fanaticism to the table (a welcome break from all that cricket).
Siya has passed the GAIQ (Google Analytics Individual Qualification)
