Client Service Tactician & Cape Town's Favourite Son
A self-proclaimed veteran at Quirk Cape Town (he's been here since 2008) Shaun Oakes is widely regarded as half man, half amazing. A multi-skilled member of the Client Service team, he's got a wealth of experience in SEO, Paid Search as well as Social Media campaigns. In fact, if Quirk were a cricket team, Shaun would probably be an all-rounder à la Jacques Kallis (except with better hair).
With a Computer Programming and Marketing background through CTI and Unisa and almost 8 years in the digital industry, Shaun’s a valued and much loved member of the team. He has an illustrious CV and notoriety online (ask him about Marine Taxis) that include columns on Tech Leader, Sports Leader and his own blog, which has proven to be surprisingly popular over the years. When he isn’t working, Shaun can often be found eating (something he enjoys doing on a daily basis) as well as Googling his name… Who doesn’t?
He has also dabbled in modeling and his face is regularly allegedly spotted on large billboards around Cape Town, as well as an unconfirmed 9-storey billboard in Warsaw, Poland. With a passion for all things digital, as well as being smart and creative, Shaun Oakes is clearly more than just a pretty face.
Note from the editor: Is it awkward to say that this profile was also written by him?
"I think you’re okay." ~ Shaun Oakes
Shaun has passed the GAIQ (Google Analytics Individual Qualification)
