Sarah Blake

Sarah Blake grew up in the southern suburbs of Cape Town. Like any good southern suburbs girl, Sarah made the journey from Grove Primary, to Westerford High and on to UCT to complete her BSc in Maths and English (with a brief sojourn into Astrophysics). But the southern suburbs are a hard place to grow up if you're an aspiring fairy princess or a helicopter pilot. The rain makes flying difficult and that big flat mountain kind of gets in the way of Chopper Navigation Skills 101. Fortunately, Sarah managed to recover from her disappointment at not following these lifelong dreams and decided that she would direct her ambitions elsewhere.

She moved on to her other goal: to make it to Isla Negra in Chile to visit the house of Pablo Neruda. In keeping with her general leaning toward success, she did in fact reach her destination; only to find that she had arrived in the middle of a two week closure for renovations. True Story. Subsequently, she (luckily for us) cast her mind to loftier things.

Sarah has travelled to 5 continents and has worked on three of them. She will no doubt visit the remaining two in good time, probably armed with her MacBook - which she claims is her greatest (but most necessary) extravagance. Often appearing shy because of her extremely soft voice, the truth about her extroverted traits (or lack thereof) remains to be seen. A glance downwards at her zebra print, peep toe, sling back stilettos will reassure most that she has an inner (or outer) diva.

Sarah compiled our textbook; eMarketing: the essential guide to online marketing and heads up the Optimise and Engage teams. She also likes tea.
