Before he landed slap bang in the middle of the loud side of the Cape Town QuirkStation, Richard Watson was a tad confused as to what he wanted to be when he grew up (other than a dragon that is - but mentioning that is jumping the gun a tad).
After dabbling in Business Science, Film and Media, Marketing and the occult (Ok, ok, that's a figment of our overactive QuirkStar imaginations) Richard found himself moving tables and being introduced to the exciting world of Online Reputation Management and he's never looked back - sure it's only been like a day but so far, so good.
Yet another graduate from UCT (it's no wonder the rest of us are starting to feel a touch threatened) Richard obtained a postgrad from the Red & Yellow advertising school, travelled around a bit and read endless editions of the Heat Mag (we all read it Rich - don't feel ashamed that you're the only one who will admit it to the world).
Now ... Back to my dragon story.
Richard is an imaginative little Star. Before getting his facts straight he believed that he was hatched from an egg and would grow up to be a big dragon some day - the birds and the bees explanation soon cleared that up and he had to settle for something a little more realistic... obviously he chose the computer-games-designer route.
Pixie (alternatively called Bridget or a variety of other girls' names) joins the fray armed with his trusty action list, a quirky sense of humour, a passion for exploring each facet of online marketing and a face that has endeared him to the ladies in the office (it really is safer to be on our good side).
In his spare time Richard is dedicated to writing THE great South African novel... about the Internet. Looks like the New Guy's going to fit in just fine.
