Project Manager & Suited Up
Reghardt Marais joined the Cape Town QuirkStation in December 2010 as a Digital Project Manager. Reghardt (although he has kindly agreed to let us call him ‘Sir’ if we wish) brings more than 13 years of experience and education in IT and Project Management to the Think Team and we all realised that this guy means business when he rocked the suit during his first week at Quirk (and every week since).
When asked why he chose to study IT and Management, he replied that there were no superhero courses available at the time (and there are such courses now?). We like to think that he gave up on that particular aspiration when his passion for the Internet and technology developed, but he reveals that it was actually due to the fact that the superhero gig pays badly (especially when you're not an evil superhero). When he’s not hard at work, you’ll find him playing guitar, Xbox or spending time with the fam - wife, kiddies and doggies. He can’t live without Twitter and Google, which funnily enough came in handy when trying to get a handle on his pet hate… eggfruit!?
Keep an eye on this fun-loving project manager; he alludes to the fact that he may still have a secret identity as a cape-wearing superhero. We eagerly await the day that he rips off his tailored suit to reveal a spandexy costume beneath.
