Internal Marketing Coordinator & Office Clown
Ravendran Reddy (who goes by the stage name, Ravi) was born on one of the beautiful Island(s) of Trinidad & Tobago to two doctors (talk about good genes). After many years he made his way to Cape Town and set about completing a BCom in Information Systems at the University of the Western Cape after which he moved to post grad in Marketing at UCT.
After uni, Ravi specialised in SAP Project Systems for the City of Cape Town and worked at KPMG as an IT Auditor. One day he woke up and realised that eMarketing was his true calling (which may or may not be due to his acceptance of the fact that playing cricket for the West Indies turned out to be a bit of a pipe dream). Ready to learn everything he needed to know (and armed with the knowledge that our action cricket team rocks); Ravi joined Quirk for a 6 month internship in February 2009. He excelled in his studling endeavours and has joined Quirk full time as our Internal Marketing Coordinator. Ravi handles all internal marketing, including recruitment and marketing support. He is an asset to the marketing team - playing his role just as well as he plays action cricket for the Almighty QuirkStar team - keeping our spirits high with his cheerful emails.
Apparently his friends call him “Handsome Rob” (woah there Stokes), but we suspect that he may have to choose another of his endless list of nicknames for his duration at Quirk, which is why we’ve settled on calling him “The Clown”. When he’s not being a serious eMarketing type, Ravi is playing cricket, dreaming about cricket or watching cricket. He also occasionally takes time out to take his pet rock for walks and update his Facebook status.
