An initial introduction to Peter in the poetic words of Z -"Peter hails from the icy northern slopes of Finland; home to Nokias, elite racing drivers, the Northern Lights and 24 hour days."
Also known as Dookie or Manimal (we figure it's safer not to ask any questions), Peter is a guy with big ambitions who claims he will do whatever it takes to win. This sounds like the guy we need on our indoor cricket team - watch out Stokes!
A brief personality analysis might reveal that this drive to succeed comes from his days in the Finnish army. Forced ironing of the wrinkles in your bedspread, and a crew cut can have strange effects on people. This bout of army training also seems to account for his extreme penchant for punctuality. He says it's a Scandinavian thing, but we're not so sure. Taking the adage, "you are what you eat" to a new level our latest QuirkStar claims that it is the food he eats that defines him as a person. We hope this isn't the case, because according to The Manimal, his favourite snack is pork. Oink.
His long-term ambitions include space travel - a far cry from his childhood desire to be a celebrity ice hockey player in the NHL. Ironically, this obsession with ice hockey seems to have lead him to South Africa (not a whole lot of ice) and ultimately to Quirk. His innovative Web Design skills emerged when, as an adoring teenage fan, The Manimal used to design websites for his favourite players. His talent (and of course his love of our beautiful country, incredible views and diverse culture) brought him to Cape Town to study multimedia design and motion picture medium. The allure of our southern sun, of course, kept him here.
His likes include bacon and eggs, Dexter and his new cotton hoodie. He has a particular distaste for miscreants and clowns (the orange hair and face paint kind) with unusually large feet. Whether this is just his natural male insecurity about the size of his own feet or a minor phobia - Quirk is still going to have to cancel our annual Christmas Party clown. Don't worry Darryn, maybe you can dress up as a pirate this year?
