Although he always wanted to be an interior designer, life - as it does – had different plans for Patrick Homan, plans that developed his keen interest in IxD and IA.
Patrick has spent more than 10 years learning as much as he could about usability, information architecture and interface design and he’s worked on some pretty awesome projects for some pretty snazzy clients. Patrick now looks forward to putting all that he’s learnt along the way into practice at Quirk.
Patrick starts off his day feeding his babies (QuirkStars seem to be a tad pet-obsessed, don’t we?) – Nyala and Katie the staffies and a puddy-tat named Percy. After a quick nibble, he sets off to the Jozi QuirkStation where he spends the day delving into all things connected to User Experience. When he’s not hard at work, he’s sleeping (another common QuirkStar trait), rocking it out as a Drum n Bass & Dubstep DJ or indulging in his one guilty pleasure – beer.
Patrick has an insatiable thirst for knowledge and intends to get his degree in Psychology or Behavioural Science one day. This team player is loyal and dedicated to deadlines (that’s what we like to hear) and looks forward to expanding his knowledge of eMarketing as it will compliment his current skillset perfectly.
He has his own blog for all music related stuff and ramblings of a personal nature, but he can’t live without Smashing Magazine and Information Is Beautiful. A man of many talents, rumour has it that he’s a qualified Pig and Sheep judge(?) and goes by the street name of DJP. Welcome DJP and rock on!
