Account Manager & Chilli Fanatic
Melissa (Mel) Craxton joined Quirk Jozi as an Account Manager in August 2011. She grew up wanting to become a computer programmer while juggling a huge crush on “Face” from The A-Team. Ladies, you know why! After schooling at St Peter’s College, Mel explored her innate love for brands and advertising by venturing to TUKS to complete a BCom degree in Marketing and Management.
Before becoming an official QuirkStar, Mel worked at an advertising agency, Artifact, where her love affair with all things online began. She’s got three years’ experience under her belt in Accounts and Below the Line work, but her passion lies in the digital space. Mel knew she needed to move with the times and that’s when she found Quirk.
She’s a hard worker who’s described as fun, caring and loveable. True to her character; Mel would spend her ideal day off chilling with friends or pampering her cat, Tinker. She’s addicted to all things chilli and manages to go through a bottle of extra hot Nando’s sauce every week. While she loves people, pets, places and her piano, Mel can’t stand laziness or bad drivers and doesn’t go a day without a quick snoop on Bizcommunity and Facebook.
