QuirkStudling & Meg the Hen

Megan Hughes

Megan Hughes made her way into Quirk’s Cape Town team of awesome QuirkStudlings in December 2011. As a wee kid, she dreamt of becoming a famous author and got off to a great kick-start by developing a fascination for Agatha Christie’s famous “Who Dunnits”.

It was clear from the start that Megan (also known as Meg the Hen) always had a passionate talent for creative expression; she even spent time freelancing as a columnist. Creative writing coupled with her interest in human behaviour led her to study a BA in Psychology and Communications through UNISA. She topped this off with Honours in Psychology at UCT.

Outspoken, generous and hardworking, Meg says she chose to walk the digital walk with Quirk ‘cause it’s fast-paced, dynamic and a “natural haven” for her. Her ultimate extravagance was the Xbox she bought to rock out on. Come on; who needs a salary when you’ve got Guitar Hero?! When in search of a chuckle, you’ll find Megan browsing the daily quirks of fmylife and lamebook or watching yet another repeat episode of House (she’s an über fan). She worked as a dental assistant for 2 years and, though Meg may know more about human teeth and mouths than most of us, if you give this gal loads of chocolate, computer games and DVDs she’ll be your BFF!
