Junior Java Developer & Mad For Martinis
Matthew joined the Cape Town QuirkStation as a Junior Java Developer in May 2011. As a little boy, he dreamt of becoming a Military Aircraft Designer before deciding to follow his heart and one true love: music. After school, Matthew completed a BSc in Applied Mathematics (honours), specialising in Nonlinear Dynamics (yes, he’s a musical bright spark).
Before joining Quirk, he managed his own record label and kept himself busy writing and releasing music while touring. Matt chose a life online because of the endless possibilities and access to information (plus he gets to practice his mad left-brain coding skillz). His ideal day off would include a walk, music, food and wine (in that order). This magnificent muso has a penchant for Hendricks dry martinis, dislikes avocados and can’t live without the New York Times and The Economist.
