Business Director & Dancer

Mary Mzumara or Muz as she is more commonly known, is the Business Director at the Jozi QuirkStation. Personally responsible for Sue's happiness and destined to sell her soul to keep Quirk's clients smiling, she has her work cut out for her. But if first impressions are anything to go by, she's more than up to the task.

Educated on two continents and with some fancy sounding degrees to boot, Mary claims to have had great aspirations to be a dancer, an astronaut and then a dancer again while she was growing up. A brief investigation into her seemingly lawful past reveals that her round-the-world travels are not in fact aimed at advancing her sparkling career prospects, but are an elaborate plot to elude the traffic wardens she most loathes.

With over 10 years experience in online marketing, Mary has worked at leading agencies Dare and XM London working on a mix of clients including Universal Biscuits, Lloyds TSB, Halifax, Platinum Guild International, Shell, GSK, Vodafone, Nokia, Barclays and the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Mary not only heads up the JoziStation, she also finds the time to help her team come up with innovative ideas and see these through to completion. Through her guidance and skills, the Quirk team was able to create a Google Earth layer for SAT that was honoured by the E-consultancy award for Innovation in SEO in 2008.
