Lauren (La) Potgieter joined Quirk Cape Town's Engage Team as a Social Media Manager in June 2011. After school, before she fell in love with the thought of a life online, this aspiring print journalist studied a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Cape Town.
Those who know her best describe Lauren as caring, talkative and thoughtful, but mostly spend time raving about her mean cups of tea. La is a proud mom to two felines, has a borderline obsession with “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” and sleeps with her treasured British passport under her pillow (odd?). When she’s not dominating the Social Media world (or indulging in a spot of retail therapy), Lauren can be found browsing Mashable, Memeburn and the New York Times.
