QuirkStudling & Glass-half-full-gal
Lauren Bodill joined our team in the sunny Cape Town QuirkStation as a Studling in February 2011. Lolly, Lollypop or Bodes as she’s affectionately known, is a Cape Town girl through and through. She’s always shown flair for creating beautiful things and grew up dreaming of becoming an architect. Since her first love is painting and art history, after finishing school, she got stuck into a Fine Arts Degree at UCT. Bodes then threw a bit of bizz-nizz into the mix by completing her Diploma in Marketing Management.
She says she chose a life online at Quirk ‘cause it’s constantly evolving – making it exciting to keep up to date with new developments and possibilities. And she was astounded by how gorgeous our QuirkStars are (ok fine, I made that bit up). She can’t live without Facebook, Google, Twitter and dailymail.co.uk, but could definitely do without people who drive slowly in the fast lane. Lauren’s ideal day off would be spent chilling on the beach (with her Heat magazine… ssh!) or hiking up the mountain, ending off with frozen margaritas and chilli poppers at Fat Cactus.
This fun, practical and organised Studling is a big fan of soccer and enjoys friendly competition (ask her about the “Yogi Sip incident”) and if she had her way, she’d make every weekend last 3 days... yes please!
