Kelly Wheeler

Kelly Wheeler joined Quirk London as a Social Media Manager in September 2011. Growing up, she aspired to be a ball girl at Wimbledon whilst idolising Gambit from the X-Men. After school she found the proverbial ball was in her court, so Kelly decided to head off to UCT where she completed an undergrad in Media and Politics before following it up with a Postgrad in Media Theory and Practice.

A born and bred Saffa, Kelly now resides in London town where she's helping to keep the South African accent as the dominant sound in the UK office. Before joining our team, Kelly worked as an Editorial Content Producer at the London-based agency, Outside Line. Whilst still in SA, she spent time as a travel writer… and prior to that, she worked alongside our head of Copy, Ms Manners at Quirk Cape Town as an SEO Copywriter. Now that she’s back, she plans to bring new Social Media insights and a bit more sarcasm to the office.

The worst thing she’s injured is her pride... admittedly helped along by a few toots. Kelly would spend her ideal day off engrossed in pizza and vampire movies - yes, even *sparkly* Twilight. If she could, she’d ban all wheelie suitcases from the tube and stop the little bitty Brits (read: 10 year old girls) from caking their faces with make-up. She also doesn’t go a day without reading her mail from the Daily Dawdle… who can say no to cute cats?
