Kathryn Sharfman
Group Client Service Director & Lateral Thinker
Kathryn Sharfman was born in Cape Town, but grew up and received her rather extensive education in the United Kingdom. Kathryn studied Law at Cardiff University before moving onto her technical, digital and marketing education at a combination of Compaq, Clear Thinking, XM London (part of WPP) and LBi/framfab.
Her training saw her living in the busy English capital and gaining 11 years experience in technology, marketing and new media while working on diverse and distinguished accounts including Kodak, HSBC and even the Queen.
Something we bet you didn’t know about Kathryn is that she used to work for the MI5 (Military Intelligence, Section 5) – it’s true. Luckily for Kathryn, they were always a happy client.
Her comprehensive digital experience, eye for technical and marketing detail and friendly disposition make her a welcome addition to the Cape Town QuirkStation. She is extremely happy to be back in her hometown (especially since she has BBC iPlayer which she uses to listen to the radio in order to keep up to date with current affairs).
After all her European experience and travel stories, Kathryn still sees herself enjoying the Cape mountain views and indulging in her favourite ciabatta bread from Olympia Café in Kalk Bay for many years to come.
