QuirkStudling & Gossling
Joining the Cape Town intern station in June 2012, Katherine Leigh Goss has earned herself the title of QuirkStudling. Having grown up in a tent in Botswana, Gossling definitely defies her dainty nickname. She’s a tough cookie who loves the outdoors and jumped at the opportunity to backpack all over South America. Kate’s also taken a 24 hour bus journey along the aptly-named “Death Road” in Bolivia and lived to tell the tale!
In between all the death-defying adventuring, Kate (who has also blogged for Getaway Magazine) managed to squeeze in some studying. She picked up a Film and Media Degree from UCT because she’s passionate about writing and photography and a Postgrad Diploma in Enterprise Management to stay business savvy. After all that, Gossling spent 2 months teaching English in Argentina. The energetic, eternally optimistic, Kate is known for her boundless energy and ability to make the perfect cup of tea. Her one guilty pleasure would be a giant fillet steak with mounds of blue cheese and caramelised onions while perusing the Matador Network.
