Julia Willcox

PPC Campaign Manager, Social Media Custodian & Dress Obsessed

Julia Willcox

Julia Willcox joined the merry band of eMarketing Studlings housed at the Cape Town QuirkStation in April 2009. Well travelled and with a mature passion for the endless possibilities of the online world (and a childhood passion for Ridge from the Bold and the Beautiful), Julia has come a long way from her first job of wrapping presents in Cavendish Square at 14.

Julia attended Westerford High school and followed it up with BSc in Environmental and Geographical Science and Archaeology at the University of Cape Town. She then spent a gap year in a tiny village in Fyfield, just outside Oxford in the UK, but her hamlet holiday came to a grinding halt when she returned to South Africa to start her postgrad in Marketing Management, which she completed in 2008.

Otherwise known as Julz, Juliziebumps, Piglet and …Henry (?!?), Julia appears to be utterly obsessed with dresses - a compulsion she exercises even in the lowest doldrums of the Cape winter. Current dress count: 44 and counting.
The youngest of four girls, Julia loves her 4 dogs including an energetic terrier, a toy Pomeranian fur-ball, a Maltese special and an old pug ‘survivor’ with only one facial expression.

From day one, this rokkie poppie impressed the Stars with her Social Media skills and work ethic. So in October 2009, she handed over her duties as Head Studling, bid farewell to the Intern station and answering phones and was warmly welcomed into the SEM Team as a Campaign Manager.

“Some days you’re the statue, other days you’re the pigeon.”

Julia has passed the GAIQ (Google Analytics Individual Qualification)
