Julia Jakobson, more commonly known as Juliagulia (those of you who haven't seen the Wedding Singer; shame on you) is the latest addition to the growing team of Quirk Interns in the Cape Town office. Her skills include making coffee, washing dishes, serving Tim as his official slave and keeping the QuirkStation entertained with her guitar and home-grown ditties. She is also the only QuirkStar able to lick her own elbow.
Currently studying a BA in film and media production at the University of Cape Town ("yes yes, make your jokes.") she describes her life thus far to have been two decades of procrastination interspersed with travelling the world.
Julia's perfect Saturday involves sunshine, a good book, her guitar and some great company. This seemingly wholesome lass does have a darker side though: she's an avid follower of perezhilton.com. But then, everyone has their faults. Something of a local celebrity herself, Julia enjoys nothing more than playing a gig at one of the nightspots around the city.
Between moving schools (11 times), Julia dreamed of being a singer when she was all grown up. She reads her star signs, believes them when they promise good things and she thinks ice-cream is an essential food group. Other fun facts about Julia: her nephew is a Russian dwarf hamster called Rambo; she has never been in 'notable' trouble with the police and she is haunted by a documentary about baby chickens' beaks being cut off.
Describing herself as open-minded, one of the first things you notice about Julia is her long, fiery red hair. Indeed, the QuirkStars are growing restless with yet another ginger in their midst. We suspect a secret ginger coalition, led by Stokes, to take over the world, one blonde or brunette at a time. Watch out gingers; we're on to you.

"Everything you ever wanted to know about eMarketing but were afraid to ask - really! This was a seriously good workshop for anyone from the sole trader with their own website to the eMarketing director of a large company. I am not that technical but Rob has that rare ability to explain technical (ie: difficult!) issues in very simple terms. I got an enormous amount from this highly interactive one day workshop." - Ian F, Kensington Enterprises
Is your site: search engine friendly, accessible, useable? Yes, No, Maybe? A Quirk site audit will determine all this and more.
