Mid-Level User Experience Designer & Sweet Tooth

Jessica Barge

Jess Barge joined the Cape Town team of awesome eMarketing Studlings in September 2010. One year later, Jess had proved her mettle and was promoted to Junior Usability Analyst. In 2012, Jess was again promoted and given the new title of Mid-Level User Experience Designer.

Growing up, the middle child to 2 brothers (shame), Jess dreamt of becoming an artist or an actress, but soon accepted that these weren’t inherent talents (there’s always the shower!). After matric, Jess headed to Rhodes where she completed a BA in English and Sociology. She topped this off with a Post-Grad in Media Management as she knew she wanted to eventually work in the media/communications industry. Through her studies – she found her niche. And that’s when we found her!

Sometimes called “Barge”, Jess spent her days before joining the QuirkStation exercising, reading, studying and tutoring English. She was drawn to a life online ‘cause there is just so much to learn and she knows she’s not going to get bored anytime soon (what with the constant evolution of cyber space and all). She can’t live without Facebook and Food24 and she’s willing to get stuck into any task.

Jess loves all shades of blue, anything sweet and her 3 dogs and 2 pigs (that’s a first). If she could change one thing in the world, Jess would make petrol free for all! Yes please!
