Marketing Coordinator & Driven By Ambition

Jason Warner joined the Cape Town QuirkStation as an Education Studling; the first thorn among the roses of our Quirk Education Team. Since then he hasworked under their content division, helping to produce online learning materials, and later taking on the role of Marketing Coordinator. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming an astronaut and still plans on visiting the moon… someday. After high school however, he stayed grounded and headed to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology where he completed his Diploma in Journalism before diving into the working world at the Cape Times and then the Cape Argus.

When he was a wee kid playing Duke Nukem 3D on his dad’s work computers, Jason found a reason to be behind a screen and has since learnt he can’t live without The Guardian, The Daily Maverick and Wikipedia. This opinionated, eager and idealistic Star is very fond of his toy stuffed puppy (less maintenance) and would spend his ideal day off braaing with mates or watching the one and only, über-epic Battlestar Galatica. If he could, he’d eradicate all laziness and apathy in the world, along with slamming doors and silver-spoon-fed-kids. To this, Jason, we say hell yeah!
