Head of Paid Media & Travel Addict
Heidi joined the Cape Town QuirkStation in July 2012 as our Head of Paid Media. No stranger to Quirk, having served her time in the QuirkStation between 2006 and 2010, she brings with her an enthusiastic attitude and a whip (we’ll take pics). After completing a Bachelor of Journalism at Rhodes University, she realised that she was destined for the digital realm. She's worked at Irish digital marketing agency Cybercom, and most recently, MIH (Digital division of Naspers); we are very excited to welcome Heidi back.
A travel fundi, Heidi has travelled and lived in various countries around the world, including 2.5 years in Germany and 18 months in Ireland. She comes back to us fresh from a sabbatical spent travelling across Europe and Asia, so we’re sure she’s got a few stories to tell.
Tripadvisor, Travelfish and Lonely Planet are just a few of her favourite websites and she spends her free time growing her own veggies and wishing she could travel back in time and start Google. Digger (a nickname originating from Heidegger, the German philosopher) owns composting worms as pets - we’re not sure why, but it seems to explain her unusual nickname.
