Garrick Jones

eMarketing Intern & Adventurer

Having gone though most of his life with no nicknames, Garrick Wayne Jones grew up to become a UCT graduate with three: "Indy", "Jones" and "Jonesy". In addition to sharing his namesake with the well known movie icon, Garrick had childhood ambitions to be a pilot, so we can assume he has a strong sense of adventure (which might also explain the "stiletto incident", but we didn't ask for details).

Garrick is not a man to define himself in few words, but there are a number of things he is sure about: he will not read his star sign, enter his unhygienic digs mate's room or relive the "bucket haircut" his mother gave him as a child. After a week of hard work, Garrick does like to spend his Saturday mornings enjoying, in his own concise words: "coke, panado, bed". Another of Quirk's pet lovers, he seems to enjoy the accompaniment of his two cats: Velcro and Ming.

In terms of his future plans, Garrick looks forward to the day when he will be sitting on a beach with palm trees, cocktails and an intense wireless connection to deliver the latest instalment of Cyanide and Happiness.

Garrick's undergraduate degree in Economics and post-grad in Marketing Management will stand him in good stead at Quirk, where he is joining us as an intern. We're happy to add him, his bushy eyebrows and full head of hair to the Quirk throng.
