Once finishing school, Charl tried his hand at studying communications and advertising, but somehow ended up behind the counter at Look & Listen. After selling a few CDs, he moved to the online department where he managed their e-commerce site. Then, one fateful day, Charl heard about Quirk, decided to send through his CV and cracked the nod.
Charl is a man who enjoys laughter and caffeine, almost as much as he loves sports like rugby and cricket. Even though he is an Afrikaner, he even gets around to digging a game of 'footie' every now and then.
Charl first became famous in Grade 5, when he came third in a race he ran in. After that, he stopped running, unless he was being chased. A dedicated optimist, Charl has a forthright attitude and always sees the glass as half full, and although he is sometimes disappointed by this optimism, his belief in it is unfaltering. So much so, that when he got caught drinking a warm beer on a choir tour in school days, he went home and told his parents before the principal had a chance to call. Unluckily for Charl, the principal never called.
A great lover of technology and gadgets, Charl believes that anything with lights and buttons is worth checking out, and that you can never own too many devices.
