Graduate Apprentice & Resident Nutcase
Ashley Watts was welcomed into the Jozi QuirkStation’s Intern Pen in April 2011. Growing up, he idolised Captain Planet and aspired to one day become a lawyer... but things took a turn after high school and off he headed to the American Hotel and Lodging Association.
After graduating in Hospitality, he worked at the Birchwood Hotel before discovering the wonderful world of marketing. Ash was inspired to complete a BA in Marketing at the University of Johannesburg where he was also exposed to Digital… and it’s been love ever since. He is super keen to exploit his passion for online and specifically, Social Media while at Quirk.
Also known as Sonic (it’s the hair), Ash can’t live without Emp3.com, Miniclip and Brand Channel. On the other hand, he could so do without peas and people who chew gum with open mouths... eeew! This self-confessed resident nutcase’s ideal day off would be packed with good music, good friends, braai, beers and fishing.
