Alison Mellon arrived at Quirk Jozi as a Copywriter in September 2011, joining our ever-growing team of Stars in eGoli. Growing up, Alison hoped to become a Crime Scene Investigator but instead, she decided to investigate Interior Design at CPUT. After a year’s course, Ali (or Mellons, if you’re feeling brave) headed to AAA School of Advertising where she got her diploma in Copywriting.
A born and bred Capetonian - described as loyal, honest and dirty-minded (!) - Ali made the big move to the City of Gold where’s she’s made a happy home for 2 years. She says she chose the online route ‘cause she knows the ever-growing and changing world of digital will never get boring. Amen, sister! She brings an eager-to-learn attitude to the QuirkStation, along with a serious obsession for ice-cream and her digital camera. This family-and-friend-first gal doesn’t go a day without checking out Facebook, 9gag, News24 or posting musings on her blog. Rumour has it she’s also an undercover rock star. Watch this space.
