A bit about Allan Gray Orbis Foundation:
Created by the Allan Gray Limited and Orbis Investment Management, the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation aims to provide underprivileged scholars with the resources they need to get ahead in life.
The scholarship programme nurtures students from a young age by providing them with opportunities for a valuable tertiary education. Fine tuned skills and an entrepreneurial motivation come naturally through the mentoring and practical experience component of the scholarship. The programme currently has 79 fellows in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year across the five participating universities on its programme. At full scale it is planned that the Foundation will be taking on at least 100 new Fellows per year into the national university system.
