eMarketing: The Next Edition

Sarah Blake

Time waits for no man, woman or print deadline and we're already looking forward to the second edition of the Quirk eMarketing Textbook. It's going to be bigger and better - a huge five chapters bigger and better.

Even though we knew we would be releasing the textbook under an open license, the writing of the first edition was a closely guarded secret. We're approaching edition two a little differently - we're looking to you to help us make it awesome. But some things never change: we'll make it freely available online again.

Through this blog, we are appealing to the community to get involved in shaping the textbook. We'll be blogging the new chapters as we go, as well as the updates to the current content. We've already received valuable feedback via email and we're hoping that you will give us plenty more on this blog.

Who would we like to hear from

  • Educators: where are the gaps?
  • Industry experts: what have we left out?
  • Anyone learning: what could have been explained better?

To kick things off, here are the big gaps that we have identified and the five new chapters that we will be writing to fill them:

  1. eMarketing Strategy
  2. Customer Relationship Management (including contact centres)
  3. A look at the legal side of things
  4. Online Market Research
  5. Mobile Marketing
