Creative Director – Jozi

Quirk eMarketing is looking for an exceptionally talented Creative Director to lead and grow a creative department in Joburg. Your passion for digital will make a difference to our client’s business by influencing change through ideas, creativity and the use of digital media. You’ll work as part of the Creative Direction team at Quirk, inspiring and motivating your brands and disciplines to be more smart and creative. We're looking for a creative thinker, an ideas person and we want you to wow us with your design skills, innovative concepts and industry leading ideas while demonstrating that enough is never enough. You will be given the scope and freedom to make the job your own and push your creative skills whilst leading the local and international brands that you work on. You'll get to work closely with the Quirk team in London and Cape Town - a great crowd of designers, copywriters, developers, Social Media gurus and strategic brains.
 
Requirements:

  • 7+ years proven agency experience.
  • Stunning digital portfolio with strong conceptual abilities and ideas.
  • Good understanding of Social Media, Web 2.0 and any other popular buzz words.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and Web standards.
  • Great understanding of Web usability and information architecture.
  • Fabulous client facing skills.
  • Awesome Photoshop skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop digital creative strategies and conceptualise designs that challenge convention.
  • Utilise your creative skills to advance the client’s business, marketing, and branding objectives.
  • Review concepts and design work from clients and team members and provide effective direction and feedback.
  • Intelligently interpret and respond to internal and client briefs.
  • Creatively lead pitches and brainstorms.
  • Work collaboratively with the creative leads in Cape Town, developers and key team members.
  • Keep up–to–date with emerging, relevant design trends.
